FAMILY BUSINESS FAMILY VALUES SINCE 1966

About us

We comprise of two businesses, Zarb Road Transport Pty and NDL Transport Pty Ltd with common directors and shared support services that facilitate each business to work both independently and jointly, based on the unique needs of the job.

Zarb Road Transport was officially established in 1966, where the original founder Casey Zarb, started the venture into the Sugar industry, signing the first contract which soon expanded and saw the growth of Zarb Road Transport establish its second business NDL Transport Pty Ltd in 2004. Original founder Casey Zarb retired from the business in early 2000, with his son David Zarb and the Zarb Family taking over and continuing the success of the business.

It is our vision to maintain our reputation for being the supplier of choice for road freight transport across Queensland and interstate by:-

  • Continued long-term industry knowledge and experience

The geographical locations allow us to offer our services to the Sugar Industry right across Queensland and interstate. We cart all things sugar, from the whole stick cane from the fields, raw processed sugar, refined sugar, specialty sugars, liquid stockfeed, molasses and bagasse. As a business we are continually broadening our horizon of work and nothing is off limits. With the Group now holding a fleet in excess of 60 prime movers and various trailers combinations across our 2 locations.

Our head office in Mackay, Queensland, is where you will find where it all started out. The complex comprises of 3 large truck yards, our large in-house workshop and our very own automated drive-through truck wash.

Our Mackay and Burdekin locations all have fully equipped workshops allowing us to maintain our own fleet 24 hours a day/7days a week. Our fleet includes an extensive range of Mack, Volvo and Kenworth prime movers.

We recognise the importance of quality end to end service and delivery for our customers by employing upwards of 110 dedicated and committed employees during the cane crushing season to provide the safest, efficient and quality delivery of their products from multiple locations.

Being family owned and operated we know that relationships are key and we strive to achieve consistency in everything we do by continually strengthening our ties with our customers, suppliers and employees.
